Artifacts
Artifact 1 - Congressional Game

InTASC #6 Assessment
For this artifact, my students were tasked to make a game that was playable, based on what they learned during the unit, which was all about the Legislative Branch. Students made a Candyland-style game, an uno-style game, and a game inspired by a video game online. Students showed off their understanding of the lawmaking process in these games as it was the topic they were all covering.
- This relates back to InTASC standard 6 due to letting students take an assessment that allows for various methods of it. This engaged learners, gave them the choice of how to show their knowledge, and could do it collaboratively if they liked, guiding the learner's decision making
- Attached is the full lesson plan for it, embedded in the first picture on the left. All you have to do is simply click on it and then follow the link.
Artifact 2 - D.I.Y Country
InTASC #4 Content Knowledge

For this artifact, students created their own country based on the material they had learned in the unit. So it had themes back to what kind of government would you have, what laws/rights do your citizens have, and what are your citizens like? They created a map and flag as well, and that is what I am presenting. On the bottom right corner, one student created a large trifold and the back had their map.
- This relates back to InTASC standard 4 as it not only shows I understand the central concepts of the content but also highlights the learning experiences I created for my students that are accessible and meaningful to them.
Artifact 3 - Classroom Environment

InTASC #3
Learning Environments
I love decorating my classroom and trying to create a great learning environment. It is one of the biggest parts of my teaching philosophy, because if students feel safe in my room, then it helps make students more comfortable to learn.
In the pictures, I have decorated the room with seasonal decor like Halloween lights, and fall decor to match my teaching theme, and lastly even made an assignment to review quarter one by creating and decorating various Halloween symbols such as pumpkins and tombstones.
- This relates back to InTASC standard 3 due to me working with others, and my own students to create a positive learning environment with engagement and pleasing and fun things to see in the room that also show student work.

Artifact 4 - Using Data to
Further Professional Learning
InTASC #9 Professional Learning
and Ethical Practice

The image shows results and data from my students in the classroom that help me understand where they are, and where I am as their teacher. Other questions asked for some positives and some negatives of the class. I then can use this evidence to adjust how I teach to create a better environment and help ensure student success.
- This relates back to InTASC standard 9 due to using evidence to grow as a teacher.
Artifact 5 - 2 Lessons used to prepare learners for a future assessment meeting long-term goals.

InTASC #7 Planning for
Instruction

These lessons were for students to participate in a mock constitutional convention and the other lesson had students present a given constitutional amendment learned in class.
- This relates back to InTASC standard 7 because I assigned these lessons where it had students begin to get comfortable with speaking with others, in small groups, and larger groups, and doing collaborative presentations to the whole class. This is all to lead up to the goal of having my students comfortable to speak with each other so when it comes time for my mock presidential debate, they are ready and not timid, to ensure a fun and engaging assessment.
Artifact 6 - Students using technology and collaboration to answer a relevant issue.

InTASC #5 Application of
Content
The students were tasked with studying a case, where a lady sued McDonald's for hot coffee. However, there were lots of misinformation and different narratives. So students were tasked to study it, answer questions that helped them uncover the legal truths, and to help them form their own opinions on the case. They did this together and by using the technology in the classroom such as their Chromebooks, WebQuests, and collaborative teamwork.
- This relates back to InTASC standard 5 because students have to connect concepts they have learned in class, and in previous lessons to help them find the facts. They are applying their knowledge to a real-world scenario and do so collaboratively and through various contexts of time periods.
